FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT
The Oamaru I-Site was in need of a refresh that represented modern professionalism of the organisation while still maintaining heritage elements.
Our intention with the interior was to address key functionality issues with the counter positioning and retail aspects. Through space planning, we presented a layout that would enable a more inclusive visitor experience.
We designed bespoke shelving units that included cabinets behind to house brochures which addressed storage issues. Along with this we added new seating, bespoke reception counter, retail space and lighting that answered the clients brief.
The aesthetic was taken from the Victorian building and North Otago landscape with a mix of coastal blues, vintage wallpaper and flooring design representing the mighty Waitaki River through the middle of the space.
