TERMS AND CONDITIONS *
This competition is open to any small business based in Oamaru, North Otago, New Zealand.
Each entrant must fill out the application form online in full.
Applications must be received by 5pm on Friday 30th August 2019.
Design Federation will review applications and determine a top two by Friday 6th September.
The top two applicants will be interviewed by the Design Federation team to determine which project will win the prize.
The winning business will win a Small Business Makeover Design Plan by Design Federation valued at $1,995.
The runner up will win a $500 voucher towards Design Federation services for their business.
The prize will include the following (if required by the project):
a. Style Overview – including mood board to bring your new look to life.
b. Colour Consultation – up to two colour palettes for each space in the business area including paint specifications for ceilings, walls, architraves, skirtings and trims.
c. Spatial Planning – assistance with furniture placement and best layout for the business work flow and sales.
d. Furniture Sourcing – provide ideas for furniture that works with the brief within your budget, this can include the design of new counters and displays, or design of upholstery of current furniture.
e. Wallpapers – if required provide options for wallpapers that work with your scheme.
f. Lighting Plan – provide options s for feature and task lighting best suited for your space .
g. Flooring – specifications for new flooring if required.
h. Window Treatments – specifications for drapes and blinds that work with your scheme.
i. Marketing and Signage – provide advice on updating marketing material and signage to take your business to the next stage.
j. Liaison with Trades – provide quality local tradespeople to complete your renovation and assist with the communications and coordination to ensure your project is done on time and on budget.
k. Styling – provide the final styling finishing touches for your business before its relaunch.
